AC/DC is recording its first studio album in eight years with producer Brendan
O'Brien. No release date was set yet. News about the new album came via
Supersuckers frontman Eddie Spaghetti, who said his own band's album is being
delayed due to O'Brien engineer Billy Bowers' work with AC/DC.
U2 back in the studio
U2 is back in the studio to work on their next album with producers Brian Eno
and Daniel Lanois. U2 is aiming for the new album to be released before the end
of the year. The as-yet-untitled disc will be followed by a 2009 tour. Meanwhile,
the band has set a July 22 release for remastered, expanded editions of the
band's first three albums: "Boy" (1980), "October" (1981) and "War" (1983). The
reissues will include the original album on a single-disc, 180-gram vinyl and in
a two-CD package featuring B-sides, rare tracks and live material.
