New Dr. Dre album
expected in January
After some years, Dr. Dre has finally released an official song from his
upcoming third album "Detox." "Kush" is Dr. Dre’s new collaboration with Snoop
Dogg and Akon. "Kush” features a roboticized hook that reminds us of Dr. Dre's
hit "California Love". The arrival of "Kush" suggests that "Detox" may be
released early 2011.
Take That set for record-breaking album sales
Take That are set to have one of the biggest first-week sales in the UK album
chart ever with their new album “Progress.” The album has already triggered
biggest first-day sales of the decade, selling 235,000 copies on Monday November
15. The new effort by Take That has now sold over 300,000 copies and is set to
challenge for the biggest-selling debut week of the century so far: Coldplay's
“X&Y” sold 465,000 copies in one week in 2005.
New Strokes album finished
It has been about five years since the Strokes released a new album, but the
band is now set to release a neweffort soon. According to singer Julian
Casablancas , the band has finished recording on the follow-up to "First
Impressions Of Earth." (2006). The new album is not expected to be out for a few
months and has suffered multiple delays already. The still-untitled new album is
produced by Joe Chicarelli.
NERD announce best of album
The upcoming NERD compilation “The Best Of NERD” will be out on January 11,
2011. The set features all their hits including “Rock Star,” “Lapdance” and
“Provider.” The album also includes B-sides “What's Wrong With Me” and “Lil'
Suzy” as well as remixes by Justice and Sander Kleinenberg.
Beatles music available online
The Beatles full back catalogue has become available on iTunes. All 13 albums by
the band, along with their officially released compilations plus live footage,
have been added to the download service, making it the first time their music
has been legally available to download.
Mary Mary are return
Mary Mary are returning with a brand new album titled “Something Big” early
2011. Erica and Tina Campbell debuted over a decade ago with their first single
“Shackles”. The new effort will be led by first single "Walking." |
