Upcoming Robin Thicke
album Something Else out in September
Robin Thicke's upcoming new album will be titled "Something Else". Thicke’s new
effort will be released on September 9. First single off the album is "Magic,"
which has already leaked to the Internet.
Nine Inch Nails album The Slip out on CD in July
Nine Inch Nails' album "The Slip," which was made available as a free download
by the band in May, will be released on CD on July 22. In the US, Canada and
Japan, the two-disc set is limited to 200,000 individually numbered copies in
digipak form. It will include a bonus DVD of Nine Inch Nails performing the new
tracks during rehearsals, as well as a 24-page booklet and stickers. The same
package will be available in Europe and Australia but will not as a limited or
numbered edition. "The Slip" will also be released on vinyl August 5.
New Metallica album titled Death Magnetic
Metallica have unveiled their new album title on their Website Metallica.com.
The band gradually revealed the title “Death Magnetic” in posts, beginning June
9, when only the letters 'DC' were shown. “Death Magnetic” wallpapers can
already be downloaded from the band’s Website. The upcoming new album is set for
a September release date and was produced by Rick Rubin.
Michelle Branch finishing work on new album
Michelle Branch’s next solo album is almost finished. Michelle’s third solo
album will be titled "Everything Comes And Goes" and should be out before the
end of the year. According to Branch the album is "a really natural progression
from the Wreckers" and was produced by John Leventhal and John Shanks. Dwight
Yoakam features on the effort in a duet with Branch, and other musicians include
Stuart Duncan, Larry Campbell and Bob Dylan's longtime bassist Tony Garnier.
Eminem working on new album
Eminem has confirmed that he is working on material for a new album. The rapper
revealed the news on the phone in a US radio show that had LL Cool J as guest. ,
who was a guest on the station. The upcoming new album will be Eminem's 5th and
will be the follow-up to 2004's “Encore.”
Missy Elliott back with new album in July
Missy Elliott is planning for an August release date for her next album. Her new
effort will be titled "Block Party" which she is currently finishing. The album
was originally slated for May and features production by Souldiggaz, Danjahandz,
Pharrell, T-Pain, Pointguard and Timbaland. First single from the album is the
track "Best Best.According to Elliot "this album is probably more musical and
melodic than my previous ones" and has also said that "a lot of my albums are
really hip-hop-driven, with tinges of other music genres. But this album is
hip-hop, with a sort of U.K. hip-hop sound to it." |
